It's very interesting how critics of the OT upon its release were saying virtually identical things to today's prequel haters. But the younger generation in both cases loved the movies anyway and have nostalgia for the trilogy they grew up with. It's almost like George Lucas knew what he was doing when aiming for his target demographic.

You opened my eyes on the Revenge/Return similarities. With Sidious on the ground, he's a Sith and knows he is lying to Anakin on his emotions and needs. Luke on the other hand is actually defenseless and begs for his father's help truthfully.

People are overly critical about his work and nit pick at ridiculous things. Marvel and DC movies have ridiculous and unbelievable stories and characters but only Night gets scrutiny. I think My. Shyamalan is very talented and tells us original stories/concepts. I an a fan of his work. I love The Sixth Sense..Split..Signs...The Visit..Old...The Village...Stuart Little.

Yes. He is intriguing and creative director. I love his movies...they are always original concept. One note..I wouldn't call him having ego. It's a fact and all directors do it....especially if they wrote it and direct it also. To me he looks humble and down to earth and really enjoys making movies. He mentioned in one of his interviews that big budget studio wanted him to direct a movie for them but he decided to stay with smaller films because he enjoys creating them the way he likes.

These guys are totally off in telling the story of Hollywood. So many inaccuracies. Jaws was not the turning point. Watch the story of American Zoetrope to learn the truth from the mouths of the actual filmmakers of the era. Nice try, but not only is your presentation boring, but wrong. ua-cam.com/video/n8MbwuzwevE/v-deo.html and if you want the full story read the book The Agency: William Morris and the Hidden History of Show Business - I know this is old news but wanted to post a warning sign to any student who stumbles across this mess.

No. The people who grew up with the original Trilogy and didn't like the prequals are nothing like the prequel generation who doesn't like the sequel trilogy. For the soul fact that George Lucas didn't make the sequels. It's Georges Story. That is Star Wars.

I know this video is old as fuck, but I just really have to wonder why Americans have to jump at every chance to put nazi ideology next to the soviets as if they weren't complete polar opoosites and the latter hadn't pulverized the first during WWII (while America imported nazis and subtly adopted their ideology, aside from the jew-hating part)

I liked the village. Lady in the water is one of my All Time favorite movies… it’s magical and moving. I didn’t give a crap who the director was or if anyone else knew that movie when I saw it… so maybe that’s part of why? I didn’t have hate for M already nor did I expect a scary movie. I LOVE that movie. I am so happy it’s been made. Just sayin. :)

Wow! You and some other UA-camrs have really blown my mind on The Big Lebowski recently. I have always loved the film and try to live my own life by The Dudes "Take it Easy" philosophy but new sh*t has come to light! This film really reminds me of Moby Dick by Herman Melville because there are many interpretations of the material in both instances! There is an epic video on UA-cam with Hubbert Dreyfus talking Moby Dick and polytheism and I think that his exploration of multiple hidden meanings is most definitely appropriate here! Thanks again for the video it was fascinating although I think that you might be stretching on a couple of the points (see my comments on September the 11th below.)

I'd just like to point out that the date on the cheque isn't September the 11th 2001 it's September the 11th 1991. That was the date that George Bush Senior gave his infamously creepy speech about the New World Order in Congress. It could still be a coincidence but I'm just saying that the date was a significant one for Bush Senior. Could there be a hidden joke about how broke the dude is? "Bush is declaring war on Iraq and he'll be declaring a New World Order by the time this bums cheque clears!"

A number of notables - both directors and actors - were omitted. Among the former, how could you overlook Ernst Lubitsch, a pioneering comedic director (and a major influence on Billy Wilder) whose works included "Design For Living" and the original "To Be Or Not To Be"? Its star, the iconic Carole Lombard, also made the screwball classic "My Man Godfrey" with ex-husband and the underrated William Powell, a brilliant comic actor.

If you look at the original continuity, which was greatly abbreviated, had the original Sith being a fallen Jedi that we know as Darth Ruin. He was the first of the Lost Twenty, that being twenty masters that left the Jedi Order. Darth Vader considered himself the 21st of this group. Thus the rhyme occurs, the last of the lost ends what the first of the lost began. For this timeline, see the TPM novelization.
